I always wondered who invented the 7th inning stretch in baseball, the game is almost over by then (in some cases-it is). Then I realized is serves as a crescendo builder for the drama of the big finish; which happens in the final few innings. In some ways, that is where we are this summer. We just emerged (and survived) Mission Possible, and after a short 7th inning stretch, we will be heading for an action packed, fun filled September. It all begins with our reverse car wash on September 1st here at the building. There is time to rearrange your schedule to participate in this event that will bless all, who come from the community to get their cars washed. And then, the following Saturday on Sept. 8th, we will once again head to “The Sawmill” to crown the Putt Putt champion for 2018; so bring your favorite putter (golf shoes optional) and let’s have a great time. What better way to follow up Putt Putt than with Praise In The Park 2, which takes place the following day on Sept 9th. After taking a week off to recuperate, we will bring all of our unwanted wares to the building, and have a big ginormous garage giveaway. That’s right. Everything will be free with no strings attached. Whew!! What a way to wind down a beautiful summer. So, enjoy your 7th inning stretch, and let’s all get prepared for a great dramatic finish- which is yet to come.
Blessings. ~Lamar Comments are closed.
